Thanh Nguyen is a photojournalist in Vietnam.
He started out as a photographer contributor in 2009 for Tuoi Tre Newspaper, one of Vietnam’s biggest news organizations while studying journalism in Hanoi.
In 2011 he became a full-time photojournalist of the newspaper, covering the South and South Central regions of Vietnam where he was deployed to shoot both breaking news stories, such as unusual heavy flooding in Mekong Delta and typhoons wrecking the Central region, and in-depth photo essays including vanishing local festivals and cultural activities of various ethnic minorities in Central Highlands.
In 2016 he moved to the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City to work for VnExpress, the country’s most-read online newspaper. His forte is features – portraying human faces of social and environmental issues such as poverty, educational inequality, energy policies, and climate change.
His amazing products have been published on different leading media in international such as AFP, EPA, Gettyimages, BBC, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Mirror... and Vietnam such as Tuoitre Newspaper, Forbes Magazine, and VnExpress International...
In 2019, he is a national award-winning photojournalist of Reporting Grants For Women’s Storie.
